Ethiopia Airlines shut down all flights to Desie, Gondar, and Lalibela.
The airline announced on its official Facebook page that all flights to Desie, Gondar, and Lalibela routes are canceled for Saturday and Sunday. The reason for the suspension of the flights was not mentioned.
The government forces have been fighting with the Amhara Fano in the region since early this week.
It was confirmed that the Fano militants already controlled Lalibela International Airport, causing the suspension from Tuesday.
However, Ethiopian Airlines has also not given an indication of when flights will resume.
