RE: Response to the OSPG Allegations & Upcoming Project

The Oromo Sisterhood Project Group (OSPG) does not usually respond to propaganda and unsubstantiated allegations that create divisions and negativity. However, it was brought to our attention that certain groups/individuals, some with unconfirmed identities and fake social media profiles, have been spreading rumors about our working group in the hopes of getting attention from the public. We strongly condemn the act of what seemed like an orchestrated political agenda with no good intentions for our struggle. The name smearing campaigns target the supporters of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), working groups like us, individuals who sacrificed their lives for the Oromo people, and those who highly regard and support the organization! We believe in maintaining the institutionalized operation of the Oromo struggle, which is imperative, especially when the Ethiopian empire utilizes every aspect of its civic, judicial, and political institutions to subjugate Oromos and rule Oromia with an iron fist. We equally need strong and organized civic institutions, political and military wings for our struggle to fight the Ethiopian empire and drive our people towards freedom. We advise those individuals and groups to refrain from divisive actions. It has no purpose other than creating a mistrust amongst freedom fighters at the various levels of the structure and ultimately weakens our struggle. Nothing will be gained from such recklessness besides temporarily slowing our journey to liberation. Therefore, Tokkummaa Moora Qabsoo Bilisummaa Oromoo is one we will NEVER compromise. OSPG will continue to carry out its mission with the versatility and dedication our members are known for and our projects demand. Our goal is to stand with the Oromo struggle by building a strong community that extends helping hands through short-term assignments and promoting political participation. We will continue to promote equal opportunity, engagement, and fair representation of everyone at various levels in Qabsoo and beyond. We will soon launch our new project! Stay tuned! As we have stated several times, we are open to answering any reasonable questions from the public. We are simply a click away – contact us via email, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. ABOn dhaaba keenya; WBOn gaachana keenya! Injifanoon Kan Uumata Oromooti! Sincerely, The Oromo Sisterhood Project Group (OSPG) ospg@oromosisterhood.org or oromosisterhoodpg@gmail.com oromosisterhood.org
